News for Autumn Term 2025

Welcome to a new academic year from all of us at Harrow Music.

The summer term was one of our busiest periods, with lots of exciting musical activity. Our ensembles concert brought all of our ensembles together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the London Borough of Harrow, including some specially commissioned compositions from pupils and local composers. We will upload video footage of this event soon, please watch this space!

We also welcomed the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment to partner with us in hosting our annual Recorder Festival. The performance combined repertoire the children had been working on in their schools with a central mini-set rehearsed with the OAE on the day.

The first event of the Autumn term was our concert for Black History Month, which this year featured an impressive band from Salvatorian College (contributing their own lyrics themed around the event) and a commissioned ensemble performing music from Fela Kuti and Roy Ayers.

Forthcoming events include Band Festival (for woodwind, brass and percussion players) on 18th November at Elliott Hall, HAC and Piano Festival on 11th December. We are delighted that Pinner High School are once again hosting this event.
